Vocal/production duo Kloudbreak are the new sound emerging from the Bristol bass scene, with as much in common with Portishead as with Joker. Since they burst onto the scene at the start of 2010, they have been developing a unique take on the bass heavy music this city is famous for, and have been dropping jaws everywhere they go. Louise Coady's beautiful vocals layer up and intertwine to create harmonies that you wouldn't believe are even possible. Delicate, haunting and powerful by turns, all underpinned by the body shaking bass frequencies and deft synth lines of Craig Hitchings' production. After winning the coveted title of 'Best Bristol Song of 2010' on BBC Bristol Introducing this duo are on the rise and are set to take audiences (and the world) by storm in 2011. Already a string of high profile producers have been requesting to do remixes of their work, with a couple of amazing ones by the illustrious Mothboy in the can, and interest from the film, radio and TV industries is buzzing like a swarm of flies.
Drawn are proud to present the first Kloudbreak EP, 'Elements', which comprises five songs that are guaranteed to affect you. Ranging from uptempo to downbeat, all the tracks are laden with emotion and substance. Intricate vocal work from a voice that could make you cry, and dark brooding soundscapes that suggest a vicious beast lurking beneath the calm surface, ready to rip you limb from limb in an instant. This EP has a depth to it that sets it apart from many of its contemporaries, not simply reliant on gut wrenching bass to make its mark, but employing a subtler approach to etch its way into our hearts.
